Safety & Support
Who do we contact for a safeguarding concern?
For any concern, contact the Junior Leaders Commandant, Capt. Gavin Rayner, directly at gsrayner@gov.bm — a private appointment can be arranged, rather than raising it during training time. If the concern involves the Commandant, contact the RBRJL Committee of Management instead. For an urgent safety or welfare concern, or any suspicion of abuse, contact the Commandant immediately.
Day to Day
What is the training schedule?
Training Nights are held weekly during the programme year — see the Programme Calendar for exact dates and times.
How do Junior Leaders get to and from training?
Parents/guardians are responsible for transport to and from Training Nights and camps unless otherwise arranged with programme staff.
What is the attendance policy?
Regular attendance is expected. Contact programme staff in advance if a Junior Leader will miss a Training Night.
Getting Started
Is there a cost to join?
The Junior Leaders Programme is free — parents and guardians pay nothing to join or participate.
What uniform is required?
New Junior Leaders wear sports-style clothing until their uniform is issued. Programme staff will advise on sizing and issue timing.
